Working from home is a blessing to many people. There are stay at home parents taking care of their children, digital nomads traveling the world, or even students balancing school and work. Having an inviting and cozy home office set up is a sure way to get more work done efficiently.

Laptop Stand- Work from Home Essentials

An absolute MUST have for good posture and those who work from ome. I’ve been using this for the past year and its saved my back so many years of aching. The one I have is collapsible and I even take it with me to the library or cafe to do work! Trust me, you’re gonna want this yesterday (but yesterday is gone so get it today!)

Phone Stand

Phone stands are perfect for when you want to check texts or emails quickly without wondering where your phone ran off to. Having your mobile device stand up also clears clutter on your desk!

Foot Rest- Work from Home Essentials

Sometimes when I’m working, my feet tend to get cramped under the desk. This helps to solve the problem and keep my feet feeling comfortable.

Lap Desk Board (for Laptop)

My mom was the first one to introduce me to laptop boards and they’re amazing! For those days when you want to lay in bed, a Laptop board will stay in place and make working from the couch or bed more comfortable.

Planner- Work from Home Essentials

Planners help to keep everything organised and make sure all your daily tasks get completed. They’re easy to carry around and also look professional in your work from home office.

Wall Calendar

Wall Calendars are honestly top tier! Have all of your month’s important dates in one place. Never miss another appointment, meeting, or birthday again. Plus, it makes your work from home office looking incredibly put together.

Water Bottle- Work from Home Essentials

As a person that drinks a gallon of water per day, I walk around with a water bottle no matter where I go. By keeping a reusable (and pretty) bottle near your desk, it acts as a reminder to stay hydrated and looks a lot better than those halfway filled BPA plastic bottles.

Ergonomic Mouse

Whether you have a laptop or a full blown monitor, a mouse is a great addition for any work from home office set up. This Ergonomic mouse helps those with arthritis and relieves wrist pain that accompanies “regular” mouses.

Wrist Support Pad- Work from Home Essentials

This truly helps people who get hand cramps or may have arthritis. The pad is very comfortable and some are made out of memory foam so it adds extra support to your wrist.

Monitor Stand

Helps your monitor setup/position higher which improves back support and bad posture. Plus, it looks nice and fancy; who doesn’t want that?

Standing Desk- Work from Home Essentials

These are desks that allow you to stand up while working and I think they are absolutely supreme. You have the choice to move it as high or low as you wish. Sitting down for 8 hours a day is a bit unnatural and leaves room for cramping. Moving this desk to the highest position to stand makes working from home a lot more enjoyable!

You can get and type of lamp your prefer but LED lamps take up less space and provide a great mount of light.

Desk Pad- Work from Home Essentials

Bookshelves are beautiful displays for books, decorations, or even folders! This one has a wonderful colour and adds flair to any room.

Desk Organizer- Work from Home Essentials

Helps to organise and store pens as well as other writing utensils. When making a work from home space, you never want to have pens randomly lying around your desk!

Dry Erase boards can help to serve visual reminders for certain errands such as doctors appointments or work meetings.

A comfortable chair is the foundation of a good work day, trust me. I used to have a flimsy chair in my home office that never made me want to get work done. Finding a chair with cushions and good back support truly helps.

Quality Computer (Mac Book)- Work from Home Essentials

A high quality computer is definitely needed for working from home! Whether you’re a digital nomad working from the beach or a stay at home dad, here’s my all time favorite laptop.

Electronics Cleaner

For those that love to eat while typing on the computer (um, me). On one hand, its great to be able to multi task and get extra work done during your lunch break. On the next hand, greasy computers aren’t a cute look. Cleaning wipes definitely help to manage germs and keep deices sparkly clean.

Computer Camera Cover- Work from Home Essentials

Call me a conspiracy theorist but I prefer to keep my camera covered at all times, especially when I use video applications like zoom for work frequently.

Headphones

Headphones are important, especially for those working in the occasional coffee shops or working from home with children.

NoteBook- Work from Home Essentials

Notebooks are great to have on hand when you need to write notes from a meeting or just prefer hand written over typing from time to time.

Clock

Clocks give me less of an excuse to check my phone for the time and end up scrolling on social media for ten minutes. They also make your office space look effective.

Pens & Pencils – Work from Home Essentials

I love to have multiple pens on my desk, especially in different colors. Whether you give one to a family member or another oils under your bed, it’s good to keep extra pens around.

Back Support Cushion

A good posture is mandatory to keep to prevent serious back problems in older age. A back support cushion helps to straighten your spine and ease pain.

“My butt hurts!” Common phrase often repeated when I’m sitting in a chair for hours drilling out work. Save yourself the breath and (butt) pain by purchasing a seat cushion.

Diffuser

I love diffusers so much; they even make it into my suitcases when I travel. An essential oil diffuser can help to keep the air somewhat clean while emitting a fresh and natural scent in the air.

Important documents should be stored in a safe space. Fire (and water) proof safes are necessary if you plan on keeping sensitive papers in your work from home office.

Trash Can

For paper, gum wrappers, empty bottles, you name it. No room in a house, yet alone a work from home office, is complete without a trash can.
