Welcome to Ital Spice Life!
Hey there internet friend! My name is Tiffany, a Jamaican-American young woman in her early twenties who is obsessed with seeing the world and financial freedom. I’ve been traveling my entire life, back and forth to Jamaican and the USA to visit family since I was a child. However I started solo- traveling at 18 years old and haven’t stopped since. My eyes have had the opportunity to see over 20 countries/territories, 10+ states, and countless cities.
You may be wondering why I decided to name this platform ital spice life, or even what that word even means. Ital is a word of Caribbean Rastafarian origin. It comes from the English word “vital” and describes a plant based (vegan) lifestyle. As a person who doesn’t consume animal products and loves the earth, I wanted to dedicate the name of this platform to the Ital is Vital cause.
Why did I start traveling?
I made the decision to not continue higher education immediately after graduating high school. Honestly, this was one of the best decisions of my life! Taking a break and allowing the world to be my classroom has truly opened up my opportunities and knowledge times 1000.
I love learning about and exploring new cultures. Whether it maybe the north of Thailand or the jungles of Colombia, I feel a strong connection with the earth at large. I decided to start this blog as a resource for others (women, men, young, older and everything in between) to learn they too can become their own boss, work from home, and travel the world.
Financial Freedom
Finance has been a major part of my adult life. From learning how to save and budget for extended travel to saving funds for a new expensive camera to investing in an emergency fund. Financial literacy is not something that is commonly taught, especially those who look like me. The goal is to teach about finances while also learning myself.
